A three-day Nonviolent Communication training in Armenia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Aghveran, 25 young professionals, civil society representatives, and students participated in Nonviolent Communication (NVC)\u2014a three-day training dedicated to the &#8220;language of peace.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The three-day training titled \u201cNonviolent Communication Training and Simulation Exercise,\u201d held from April 6\u20138, aimed to promote peacebuilding through NVC and strengthen participants\u2019 NVC skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim of the event was to present participants with the fundamental principles of Nonviolent Communication and to develop practical skills, as well as applied tools for peacebuilding behavior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The training was led by certified Nonviolent Communication practitioner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnvc.org\/trainers\/cinta-depondt\">Cinta Depondt,<\/a> who came to Armenia specifically for this program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She is a certified international Nonviolent Communication expert with more than 20 years of experience in the field and specialized expertise in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus\u2014regions affected by conflict. For the past 15 years, she has worked with PAX, one of the largest peacebuilding organizations in the Netherlands, where she led programs in Eastern Europe and Eurasia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the first day of the event, she presented the core principles of Nonviolent Communication, which are grounded in empathy, recognizing feelings and needs, and communication that promotes dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>\u201cI am glad to once again have the opportunity to share with young people Marshall Rosenberg\u2019s thesis that every manifestation of violence is a tragic expression of an unmet need. The organization has regularly implemented peacebuilding trainings and meetings based on the philosophy of Nonviolent Communication.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within the framework of the <a href=\"https:\/\/pjc.am\/en\/project\/professional-media-practitioners-and-grassroots-joining-forces-for-dialogue\/\">\u201cProfessional Media, Practitioners and Grassroots Joining Forces for Dialogue\u201d<\/a> program, a <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1Nk--Qi4Elzboumt-1mqVxMKoxQqHQOS0\/view\">booklet <\/a>dedicated to NVC was developed and published. It is the first practical guide of its kind in the Armenian language and represents an important contribution to the formation and awareness-raising of Nonviolent Communication culture in Armenia.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><a href=\"https:\/\/pjc.am\/en\/media-huyzeri-lezvov-inch-lutsum-e-arajarkum-och-brni-haghordakcutyuny\/\">Studies <\/a>have also been published aimed at a deeper analysis of NVC concepts in the context of media communication.
