{"id":25189,"date":"2025-07-09T08:32:43","date_gmt":"2025-07-09T08:32:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pjc.am\/?post_type=project&#038;p=25189"},"modified":"2025-07-09T09:54:26","modified_gmt":"2025-07-09T09:54:26","slug":"mapping-and-countering-disinformation-in-armenia-ahead-of-the-2026-elections-learning-from-estonia","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/pjc.am\/en\/project\/mapping-and-countering-disinformation-in-armenia-ahead-of-the-2026-elections-learning-from-estonia\/","title":{"rendered":"Mapping and Countering Disinformation in Armenia Ahead of the 2026 Elections: Learning from Estonia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Project title:<\/strong> Mapping and Countering Disinformation in Armenia Ahead of the 2026 Elections: Learning from Estonia<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Project funding: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vm.ee\/en\"><strong>Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia<\/strong><\/a><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Project implementer:<\/strong> Public Journalism Club<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Project duration: <\/strong>July 1, 2025 \u2013 October 30, 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Total budget: <\/strong>8,250 EUR<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project\u2019s goal is to support Armenia\u2019s democratic resilience against disinformation in the lead-up to the 2026 elections by empowering media professionals and civil society organizations in identifying, monitoring, and countering harmful narratives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Project key activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Disinformation mapping and monitoring<\/strong><br>Conduct a small-scale study and digital monitoring of narratives within Armenia\u2019s information space, using a jointly developed methodology with an Estonian expert and applying digital tools and approaches based on Estonian best practices.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Capacity building<\/strong><br>Organize a hands-on workshop for Armenian journalists, fact-checkers, and CSO representatives to develop their skills in disinformation detection, narrative tracking, and counter-strategy design.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Public awareness and policy advocacy<\/strong><br>Develop reports to share findings of the study with civil society, media, and policymakers and larger public.
