- About us
The Media Center, operating since 2013, is a platform supporting civil society, intended for multifaceted discussions, public debates, and dialogues. It contributes to raising awareness about socially significant developments, reforms, issues, challenges, and their solutions.
The Center creates an environment for open and constructive dialogue by bringing together decision-makers, representatives of state institutions, civil society, sectoral professionals, and experts into the discussion space. It provides an opportunity to raise important issues, analyze problems, and propose solutions.
The weekly discussions, debates, and press conferences promptly respond to developments both within the country and in the region, bringing attention to topics that concern society or are important for Armenia’s democratic development.
In addition, the Media Center is open to journalists, providing space for one-on-one interviews with experts, political and public figures, human rights defenders, intellectuals, NGO representatives, and diplomats.
The Media Center is not only a platform for sharing information but also a space for the exchange of ideas, alignment of opinions, and promotion of public dialogue. We are also open to suggestions and ready to implement new ideas.
- Our mission
The mission of the “Media Center” is to ensure the stable and active participation of civil society in discussions and debates on important political, public, and social issues, developing a debate culture, creating a unifying working environment for representatives of the media, non-governmental organizations, civil society, state, and international structures, and contributing to the process of creating and promoting a collaborative culture.
Pluralism
When addressing pressing political, public, social or economic issues, we strive to ensure the versatility of their coverage, as we believe that reality is visible only at the intersection of all possible points of view.
Collaboration
By creating an environment of informed and constructive dialogue, we contribute to the formation of a collaborative culture, as we believe that cooperation and the consolidation of civil society’s potential are the basis for effective problem solving.
Innovation
We move in step with the development of new media and new technologies, as we consider innovation to be one of the cornerstones of accessibility and raising public awareness.
Control
We believe that the media and civil society have a crucial oversight role over social and political processes, which promotes the implementation of accountable and transparent policies by the authorities.
- The goals of the "Media Center" are:
To expand and promote the effectiveness of information dissemination in Armenia by creating cooperation through civil society groups, journalists and professional media outlets, to contribute to the strengthening of journalistic relationships, partnerships and solidarity.
To create a culture of closed meetings between diplomats, foreign policy decision-makers, and the media and senior journalists.
