Hasmik Paytyan has joined the Public Journalism Club team since January 2022 as the Communications and Programs Coordinator.
Hasmik worked in the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Armenia as a Chief Specialist in the Public Relations Department, at the Habitat for Humanity Armenia Foundation as an Assistant for the European Union-funded “Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Opportunities in the Cities of Vayk and Spitak” project, and then as a Communications Coordinator. Hasmik began her career at the same foundation as an Administrative Assistant, then joined the USAID-funded “Energy Efficiency of Multi-Apartment Buildings Targeting Low-Income Families” program as a Program Assistant and Communications Advisor.
Hasmik also worked at the “Journalists for the Future” NGO as a Program Coordinator and was a correspondent for the latter’s website Jnews.am.
Hasmik’s career began at the “Armenpress” news agency, first as a journalist, then as a translator and editor.
Hasmik graduated from Yerevan State Linguistic University after V. Brusov, receiving a bachelor’s degree in “English Language and International Journalism” and a master’s degree in “Linguistics and Communication”. He also studied at the University of Saint-Quentin in Versailles, France, receiving a master’s degree in Arctic Studies.
Hasmik has participated in a number of webinars and courses related to communication and social media.
