Mariam Vardanyan

Mariam Vardanyan is the Program Manager of the Public Journalism Club.

Mariam joined the Public Journalism Club team in July 2024. She has over 15 years of experience in the field of human rights and democracy promotion, working within the framework of various initiatives.

From 2008 to 2018, he led strategic litigation and legal programs at Open Society Foundations, Armenia, where he coordinated grants, organized conferences, and coordinated high-impact litigation that contributed to the implementation of positive change.

From 2018 to 2023, Mariam worked at the “Helsinki Committee of Armenia” NGO as a Program Coordinator, focusing on the protection and promotion of human rights, as well as fundraising for the organization.

Mariam has a legal education, which she received from St. Petersburg State University and the St. Petersburg Institute of Foreign Economic Relations. He also has a special education in the field of human rights, which he received at the Higher School of Human Rights, organized by the Warsaw Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights.
