Communication Consultant
Lika Mkrtchyan is a communications, public relations, and programme management professional with more than 15 years of experience. Her professional background covers strategic communication, public and institutional relations, citizen participation, local governance, community development, and women’s empowerment.
From 2015 until 31 July 2026, she worked with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) as an Adviser on municipal communication, citizen participation, and women’s empowerment. She coordinated strategic communication, public awareness, and capacity-building initiatives in cooperation with national and local authorities, civil society organisations, and international development partners.
Since August 2026, Lika Mkrtchyan has been supporting the Public Journalism Club (PJC) on a voluntary basis as a Communication Adviser.
She also has consultancy experience with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), as well as with civil society and international development organisations. Her professional experience includes research and analytical work on democratic governance, public policy, European integration, and regional developments.
Lika holds a Master’s degree in Global Studies, has completed the Diplomatic School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, and has an academic background in international journalism. She is also a co-founder of the Women Empowerment Club.
