The project’s goal is to support Armenia’s democratic resilience against disinformation in the lead-up to the 2026 elections by empowering media professionals and civil society organizations in identifying, monitoring, and countering harmful narratives.
Project key activities:
- Disinformation mapping and monitoring
Conduct a small-scale study and digital monitoring of narratives within Armenia’s information space, using a jointly developed methodology with an Estonian expert and applying digital tools and approaches based on Estonian best practices. - Capacity building
Organize a hands-on workshop for Armenian journalists, fact-checkers, and CSO representatives to develop their skills in disinformation detection, narrative tracking, and counter-strategy design.
- Public awareness and policy advocacy
Develop reports to share findings of the study with civil society, media, and policymakers and larger public. Develop media content, disseminate user friendly information through social media, to raise awareness of key disinformation narratives and support informed public engagement.
