The guide we have developed summarizes the key principles and approaches of Nonviolent Communication (NVC). NVC is considered a language of peace; it encourages us to seek an understanding of both our own and the other person’s feelings and needs during difficult conversations
- How to listen in order to understand,
- How to disagree without causing offense,
- How to speak about your own needs while also being able to listen to the other person.
You will find the answers to these questions in the “Nonviolent Communication Guide.” It consists of 12 visual aids that provide a step-by-step explanation of NVC and communication methods aimed at peacebuilding.
The guide was developed by the Public Journalism Club as part of the “BRIDGE” initiative. ..within the framework of the “Building Relationships and Inclusive Dialogue Based on Genuine Empathy” program, in partnership with International Alert and LIVKOM. The program is funded by the New Democracy Fund.
Read the guide, and if you like it, feel free to share it on your social media pages.
