Project Goal: “Combatting Disinformation and Strengthening Democracy Through Information Integrity” project is a strategic initiative designed to bolster Armenia’s resilience against disinformation and hybrid threats through enhanced Armenia-U.S. cooperation. Centered around a three-day conference in Yerevan, the project brings together experts from two countries to engage in professional discourse, share experiences, and develop practical strategies. The initiative specifically targets media professionals, civil society organizations, and academics, government representatives, aiming to enhance their capabilities in identifying, countering, and preventing disinformation.
Project Objectives:
● Elevate Professional Discourse on Information Integrity: Facilitate in-depth discussions and skills exchange on the contemporary challenges of
disinformation and hybrid threats, examining their impact on democratic processes, societal cohesion, and national security in Armenia.
● Enhance the Capacity of Key Stakeholders: Equip participants from government, media, civil society, and academia with advanced skills and knowledge to identify, counter, and prevent disinformation.
● Develop Actionable Policy Recommendations: Engage participants in interactive workshops to co-create practical guidelines and policy recommendations aimed at enhancing Armenia’s resilience against disinformation and hybrid threats.
