Sand therapy for media workers

Media workers, as pioneers in crisis coverage and communication with traumatized people, can often have overwhelming, painful memories and feelings that require new vital resources and the mobilization of internal forces to overcome.

The Public Journalism Club, within the framework of the “Rapid Response Fund Initiative” program, in cooperation with the “Kana” Psychological Center, offers sand therapy sessions to media workers.

Sand therapy is a type of art therapy based on the principles and theory of analytical psychology. It allows you to identify and overcome emotional traumatic feelings without subjecting them to verbalization. Sand therapy helps to overcome stress and increase motivation to keep on living effectively.

A box full of sand and a number of figures․ Here is everything you need to do for sand therapy.

The sand therapy will be conducted by Narine Abrahamyan, a psychologist and trained sand therapist with 20 years of work experience.

Participation in sand therapy is free.
