Mariam Vardanyan

Mariam Vardanyan is the Projects Manager at the Public Journalism Club.

Mariam has joined the Public Journalism Club team on July 2024. With over 15 years of experience in human rights and democracy promotion, Mariam has worked on a wide range of initiatives. From 2008 to 2018, she led strategic litigation and law programs at Open Society Foundations–Armenia, where she managed grants, organized conferences, and oversaw high-impact legal cases that contributed to positive changes.

From 2018 to 2023, Mariam served as Projects Coordinator at the Helsinki Committee of Armenia, focusing on protection and promotion of human rights, as well as on organization`s fundraising. Mariam has legal education from S.Petersburg State University and S.Petersburg Institute of Foreign Economy Relations. She also holds specialized human rights education from the Advanced School for Human Rights, by the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights in Warsaw.
