Winning Projects of the Hackathon Presented in Gyumri

As part of Media Literacy Week in Armenia, the Public Journalism Club organized a meeting on November 8 at the Gyumri Technology Center, during which the winning hackathon teams presented their interesting and innovative projects:

  • A platform for verifying images and links
  • A mobile game for developing media literacy skills
  • AI-generated videos about digital security challenges

The event featured welcoming remarks from Anastasia Kolivas, the Department of State Grants Officer, and Seda Muradyan, the president of the Public Journalism Club.

Among the guests were representatives from the Shirak Regional Administration, teachers, IT professionals, and journalists.

Representatives from IT and startup companies participating in the event had the opportunity to test the presented platforms on-site and received awards for identifying technical issues.

This event is organized in collaboration with the Gyumri Technology Center as part of the “Hack2Check: Media and Information Literacy Hackathon” program, which is implemented by the Public Journalism Club in cooperation with the Armenian General Benevolent Union Armenia office and funded through a Department of State Public Diplomacy Section grant.
