Webinar on AI Tools: Announcement

The Public Journalism Club is organizing a webinar on AI tools designed for media workers forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.

During this online course, participants will learn how to use AI to create engaging text content and how to quickly and accurately transcribe spoken Armenian into text. Additionally, participants will become familiar with AI technologies for image generation and automated translations, which will help them produce diverse and high-quality content.

The webinar is scheduled for August 23 from 13:00 to 15:00 on the Zoom platform.

This session will be conducted by Hayk Hovhannisyan, a fact-checking journalist from CivilNet. He is an investigative journalist with a keen interest in technological development and artificial intelligence. Hayk graduated from Yerevan State College of Informatics with a specialization in Computing Machines, Systems, and Networks. Since 2021, he has been working at the Fact-Checking Platform, and since 2022, he has been part of CivilNet’s #CivilNetCheck team. He has conducted training courses on fact-checking and the use of AI tools across various programs.

The webinar is organized within the framework of the “Professional Media, Practitioners and Grassroots Joining Forces for Dialogue” project, implemented by the Public Journalism Club with support from the European Commission. The project partner is International Alert.
