Project Title: EU–Armenia Strategic Partnership and Visa Liberalization Dialogue
Project Funding: EU Delegation in Armenia
Implementing Organization: Public Journalism Club
Project Duration: January-August
Total Budget: 6 610 000 AMD
Project Objective and Description:
The Public Journalism Club, in cooperation with the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia, has initiated a program aimed at creating and disseminating reliable and well-substantiated media content on the current state and prospects of Armenia–EU relations, the actions being implemented toward visa liberalization and the mutual obligations involved.
The objective of the program is to present to the public the steps toward visa liberalization and the expected changes through high-quality media materials.
Within the framework of the program, a two-day seminar was organized for 11 journalists representing 10 media outlets in Armenia, with the participation of the EU Ambassador to Armenia, Vassilis Maragos, ambassadors and consuls of EU member states, as well as representatives of Armenian state institutions.
These meetings provided journalists with the opportunity to obtain in-depth and detailed information about the visa liberalization process, ongoing reforms and the mutual obligations and expected changes within the context of Armenia–EU partnership.
As part of the program, participating journalists will produce fact-based media content related to the topic, contributing to raising public awareness.
