The newly developed “VisaWise Armenia: Applying Right for Schengen Travel – A Schengen Visa Guide for Armenian Citizens” is designed to help applicants better understand the Schengen visa application process.
The guide provides clear and practical information on:
-what the Schengen Area and a Schengen visa are
-where to apply in Armenia
-how the application process works
-which documents are usually required
-the most common reasons for visa refusals
-mistakes to avoid when preparing your application
-applicants’ rights and responsibilities
-what to do—and what to avoid—to prepare a stronger and more credible visa application.
The guide’s main message is simple: a strong visa application is based on submitting clear, consistent, and credible documents that demonstrate where you are travelling, why you are travelling, how you will cover your travel expenses, and why you will return to Armenia.
Through this guide, the project aims to provide Armenian citizens with accurate, verified, and accessible information, helping them prepare stronger visa applications and avoid common mistakes, misconceptions, and misinformation about the Schengen visa rules.
The guide was developed within the framework of the VisaWise-Armenia project, which implemented by ICMPD Office in Armenia under ICMPD’s Mobility Partnership Facility and funded by the European Union.
