Tourists’ Dream and Reality
The issue of visa liberalization in Armenia lies at the intersection of not only political and economic interests, but also social, cultural, and other considerations. Visa liberalization is particularly anticipated by Armenian citizens who travel abroad, as it is directly linked to their freedom of movement and their ability to plan their activities and lives in advance.
Outbound tourism is far more than a short vacation. By traveling, people gain the opportunity to become acquainted with the cultures and histories of other nations, learn new languages, develop intercultural communication skills, and establish valuable connections that can serve as the foundation for future cooperation. People who visit different countries tend to become more open-minded and tolerant. Moreover, every citizen of the Republic of Armenia who travels abroad represents the Republic of Armenia.

It should be noted that on March 26–27 of this year, Gohar Hakobyan participated in a two-day seminar in Aghveran under the same program title. Within the framework of the seminar, 11 representatives of Armenian media outlets met with Vassilis Maragos, Ambassador of the European Union to Armenia, as well as ambassadors and consuls of EU member states and representatives of Armenian state institutions, to discuss the progress of EU–Armenia cooperation, including visa-related issues.
